John Greene is the CEO for New Lisbon Telephone Company, located in New Lisbon, Indiana. NLTC is one of the oldest telecommunications providers in the state, founded in 1901. As CEO, he oversees the vision and strategy for NLTC, as well as managing the financial, regulatory, marketing, and technology needs of the company.
John has over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in engineering, construction, and operations. He began his career as an engineer with AT&T (pre-divestiture) and held post divestiture management positions with both BellSouth and Bellcore. He has also held senior management positions with numerous CLECs, ILECs, and utility-oriented contractors and consultants. John previously held the position of Chief Engineer with Great Plains Communications, a large Tier 3 telecommunications provider in Nebraska. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Science from North Central College and an Information Networking Certificate from Carnegie-Mellon University.
John currently resides in Indiana while his wife Maurita and son Jonathan still reside in Nebraska, pending their move. He has been an active leader in many community efforts, and in numerous locations, including School Board Member, Boy Scout Adult Leader, YMCA Basketball Coach, and founder and Director of the Washington County Robotics Club, which helps teach the STEM initiatives to children ages 5 to 18.
