John Wronka is currently part of the Nokia Quality Execution organization and is supporting the integration of the former Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia quality management systems and global TL 9000/ISO 9001 certifications. Prior to this role, John had a career that spanned Bell Labs, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent. Having spent time in R&D for switching, PBXs and undersea systems, he was part of an organization that embraced Total Quality Management. Here he was introduced to the power of process improvement, applying AT&T’s PQMI methodology. Having lead improvement teams, he took on leadership roles for an AT&T wide “Best Practices” program, including the deployment of software best practices across the company. In 1998, John was introduced to QuEST Forum, where he has had the privilege to participate in various roles from leading sub-teams, to secretary/chair roles of the IGQ Work Group (responsible for TL 9000 content) and Oversight WG. He has also led executive board initiatives such as the “Top 20”, which resulted in today’s Membership team, the Mentor Program, which became the “Jump Start,” and the individual TL certification programs. More recently John was recognized as a QuEST Forum Fellow, and has been leading board initiatives to improve TL 9000 PDRs, and addressing NFV (Network Function Virtualization).
